@missgolf:  I would go! Who cares if there’s a ring on your finger when you go! You need to start looking for a dress, your wedding is coming up soon in dress-ordering terms!

I would definitely go. If you think someone might notice and actually care then use a stand in. But I don’t think anyone would notice or care. Go, get a feel for what silhouettes and aspects of dresses you like on yourself and then you’ll have a head start when you go to te other bridal salon on Wednesday.

I would go too! If your date is coming up so quickly you will want to make sure you have enough time for the dress to come in and get alterations. If you go to a salon before the appointment with your mother you might find the one. If you feel like it might be the dress and you still want to have that moment with your mom you could always wait to actually purchase it until after your mother sees it. I went to a few stores before I found mine, but some people find THE dress on the first go.

Having a ring or not having a ring does make you any “more” or any “less” engaged.  Go, shop, have fun!  And don’t count out what you might find! I would say though, if you are not open to the possibility that you might find “the one” and buy it, don’t go… it just is not fair to the Bridal Shop consultants.  Not saying to buy something you are not sure about or rush into it, but I mean don’t go in with the attitude of “I won’t find it.”  Congratulations!

You really do need to get your dress ordered soon, so I would just go in.  I went in without mine because it had to be fitted.  Nobody batted an eyelash at my lack of ring

Lol when in doubt, employ the fake ring. I wore a cool CZ one to bridal shows etc while waiting for my ring to be ready, just cause you know – some vendors can be kinda snarky. Go! Have fun 🙂 congrats!

If you want to go, go! 🙂 I dont think that not having the ring on your finger will matter. I’ve been engaged for 10 months now & I still havent gone dress shopping! So I know exactly how you feel about going crazy over it! My wedding is also in December, so we still have time, but the more time the better. Good luck!

@missgolf:  Do you have a venue? I think you need to get that first because it might help you decide on a dress. I know I couldn’t have a long train or a big poofy dress because the ceremony space was more intimate than a church or ballroom. Just something to consider!

@missgolf:  As long as you have a date and a venue I say go for it!
