@Hollymarieee: Make sure you have it done with a place that uses hard wax and with wax that only attaches to the hair. It hurts but it hurts a lot less than laser hair removal and the results are instant. Also, going close to your period can be more sensative than other times of the month. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Check out yelp for recommendations, I found an amazing salon that way.

Take 2 advil about an hour before you go.

they also sell a lidocaine numbing cream if you want to use that. You have to put it on about 30 minutes before.

Don’t go right before your period, it may hurt more then.

I second the hard wax reccomendation!

Hard wax.  Take care of the area before and after.  Some TLC, exfoliation and alpha hydrox lotions (much after on the lotions…use washcloth and gentle soap to exfoliate when you shower after).  Pain reliever or alcohol before helps me!

I am actually going to get my brazzy after work today!  Unfortunately, I won’t be able to stop in for a drink first.

I had a thong wax done and it was fine. I even went a few days before my period and forgot to take pain med before hand.

I think you should get it done a few days before hand just in case you are irritated.

if you are close to a European Wax Center, they offer hard wax. This wax is the best and the least painful. Yelp the location first to make sure there are good wax ladies.

Waxing does not hurt as much as it seems like it would. If you are really terrified take an advil a little before the appointment.
