(Closed) To wear a petticoat or not?

I don’t think you have to as it is a standard a-line dress. However, if you do want to add a little poof to the skirt or it’s just a tiny bit too long (and you don’t want to do alterations) you can add a crinoline/petticoat. If it is hard to walk in your dress, a crinoline/petticoat will help keep your dress off your feet/shoes so it *can* be easier to walk. Just make sure you choose the right crinoline/petticoat for this style of dress.

@GB55:  You can order these online but depending on the retailer’s return policy, I would consider buying it at a regular store and trying it with your dress to make sure you like the look/fit. I didn’t buy my dress at DB but I did buy a DB crinoline and tried two different sizes (and went with one that was a size up from my dress size, actually). I think the one at DB was about $55/65? I think it’s best to try this on to make sure your dress will fit over it and it’s not like a dress that you would alter to fit.
