Happy MDW, bees!!
Tomorrow I will be on a boat all day with Fiance and his fam….Do I wear my e-ring?? It’s insured of course, but even though I won’t be going in the water, I’m iffy about wearing it with all the oil and/or sunblock I’ll be wearing. Do I wear it, or keep it nice and clean in it’s case at home?? 🙂

@WhatMaeBee: I would if it’s insured!

I wouldn’t… too many variables against your ring.
Sunblock, oil, it slipping off and falling into the water, etc.

I wear my e ring everywhere..

I’d probably leave it at home, but I’m probably overly careful with mine.

Maybe leave it in the room’s locked safe during the day while you load up on sunblock but wear it at night while doing dinners and evening activities?
And if they don’t have a safe , buy a safe with lock for this purpose?

Thanks bees 🙂 I’m overly protective of my beauty too…We’ll be on the boat from probably 8am-3pm, so I may just leave it at home. I hate the thought of it getting slimy and sticky, and then the thought of it falling off somehow makes me crazy….I’ll probably leave it home, even though I’ll miss it! Maybe it’s time for a stand in fake ring 🙂

We went out on a boat last summer, and I wore my rings. But I panic every time I take my rings off, so I would have gone nuts if I hadn’t worn them. I do it every time…I take my rings off, kind of forget about it, feel my finger, find them missing and then panic. Silly I know, but that’s me.
If you’re going to be worried about it wearing, then leave it home. It’s all a matter of what makes you most comfortable and what will allow you to have the most fun.

We’re going to my grandmas lake house in July and I’m not wearing my ring on the dock or boat. We have awful family luck with losing things off the boat (we call it the Lake God! Haha) so I’m not taking that chance, even with insurance. I’m going to get a fake filler ring just so I don’t have a panic attack everytime I realize my ring isn’t on. I wear my ring everywhere else, but there’s something about a huge lake and tiny ring that really scares me!
Edit: I am also planning on jumping onto the water, probably without thinking about having my ring on. So that adds an extra extreme danger towards my ring.

@Sweetie Pie 21:
True, but I think there are some times where it’s best not to tempt fate!
Even if it’s insured, you will only get the material part back. How much does your ring mean to you sentimentally? Because you won’t get that back.
