Hello there fellow brides, I have a dilemma I’d love some help with. I have a very beautiful engagement ring, my dream engagement ring to be exact. It’s absolutely eveything I’ve ever wanted since as far back as I can remember. Anyhoo, the problem is it’s a Neil Lane engagement ring BUT he never made a wedding band that will fit it and becasue of the way it’s designed the only way I can have a wedding band is if I get one custom made which seems really expensive and more trouble than it’s worth. I was thinking that maybe I should just have it polished and cleaned before our ceremony and just having it serve as my wedding ring. What do y’all think??

personally, I think wedding bands are very significant and would not want to go without one. Which neil lane is it? I can’t see the pic sorry. But have you considered just a plain band and rocking the gap? Some ladies on here are happily doing that.

Sorry ladies, I was posting from my iPad so the pic didn’t post. Here it is…

It’s beautiful! I think it’s really up to you. Your engagement ring is pretty substantial alone if you don’t want a wedding band, but I think you could get one custom made, or do an eternity band with a gap. Depends on what you like but it’s gorgeous!

Stunning…I say do what you want..you could always save up and get a wedding band later on

@MrsHovzilla: it’s gorgeous. absolutely gorgeous. you can always get a band for the ceremony and have it to wear by itself when you want something more casual. my ering is big and i like to wear just my bands sometimes. look for one that matches your shank.

band for sure in my opinion

I love it! If you like it as is without a band, maybe you can move it to your right hand and wear just the band on your left.

Thanks ladies! I just joined this site and seeing all these posts about “the gap” has made me feel a lot better about getting the original wedding band I loved. There was a huge gap and the salesman made it seem like it was a terrible thing LOL Makes sense theough cause the band only cost $300 so he was looking to get less of a commission if we purchased the over $1000 Neil lane band that still had a gap but it was a lot less. Maybe we’ll get two bands for either side 🙂 This is it:

I would get something custom made. I think I have to do that for my ring too. I have a skinny band and all the wedding bands are like..thicker O_o so it looks odd. We’re gonna go back to the shop he got my ring and have them make me something I think.
