(Closed) Toasts and Speeches

It’s who ever you want to hear from or who is extra special to you. Some common suggestions are the best man and maid of honor, parents of the bride and groom, siblings, grandparents.

I think the bride and groom should defintely give a short speech.  I hate it when they don’t.  They should acknowledge the special day and thank their guests and the extra special people for making it happen, (see list of people above).

My other suggestion is not to do speeches before dinner.  People will be starving and won’t be listening.  Do then between courses.

i would suggest during dinner. lol make sure no one is too drunk to give a speech!

I’ve given two toasts as Maid/Matron of Honor and both times it was directly after dinner and before the cutting of the cake.  It seemed to work out pretty well!
