Another thread to get the bee’s opinion! 😉
Fiance DOES NOT want speeches. At all. Totally against them. I agree. My parent’s do not (of course they don’t…) They want us to have some sort of toast to the bride and groom (at least). Future Sister-In-Law (the Best Woman) thought about doing a slideshow to surprise Fiance. I then suggested videotaping Maid/Matron of Honor and Future Sister-In-Law doing a quick a toast, being the end of the slideshow. Future Mother-In-Law doesn’t think this is a good idea “There’s good surprises, and bad surprises, and I’m not sure how he’d feel about this. It might be a good idea to tell him.” I haven’t said anything to Fiance yet.
What are your thoughts? Surprise Fiance and hope it goes well? Scrap the whole idea and not do a toast at all? Or do I convince Fiance that having ONE toast with the two girls will not get out of hand and will be quick. Future Mother-In-Law suggested if we videotape the girls (which they’ve mentioned they like because it takes ALOT of pressure off them) and get our MC to do the whole “raise your glasses now” etc. And now that I’ve seen a few bees complaining about slideshows, would it really be worth it for Future Sister-In-Law to put work into it??
