I just rejoined Weight Watchers yesterday and getting on the scale made me want to cry. But starting today I am going to work toward a healthier me! Now I do not, by any means, expect to be down to 150# by my wedding, but I am hoping to get down so I feel better about what my pictures are going to look like!
Has anyone else started working towards a goal? I am all up for finding buddies for support through this! Both with planning and loosing!

I’ve been a WW member for about 6 weeks (this Saturday will be my 4th weigh in, I missed a week due to holidays and I don’t count my first time on the scale a “weigh in”! ).
While I’d like to lose a total of 15lbs between starting WW and my wedding (which is on 20 March), I’m working towards a goal of a healthier, fitter me so that when we start trying to have a family, I’m in a healthier place to do so for me and my future family.
Good luck – there are lots of WWer here, and we’re a good group of people 🙂

Hi, and congratulations!! I just re-joined my WW program, too. I’ve been successful on it before (didn’t get quite to my goal, but I did take off 35-40 lbs). It’s a really good program because it doesn’t tell you that you can’t have any of these things, but it makes you think about portion control, moderation, and making better choices.
That first weigh-in is tough. But, each week keeps you accountable, so that it helpful. I hope you and I both have some good luck as we work towards our goal!

🙂 I am working on a goal too! I started Monday, which makes this day 3, IMO it gets easier after day 3. So if I get through today, I think my chances of succeeding are good.
I know I eat when I’m bored so I’ve been keeping oranges on hand for that. It takes forever for me to peel them and to eat. And at 70 calories, it’s almost guilt-free noshing. 🙂

I’m part of the group too! I did WW a year ago and lost weight. Then lost my job and stopped WW. Anyhow, I’m back on the band wagon of trying to shed some weight before the wedding. (On that note: I’m looking forward to the CW show “Shedding for the wedding”!) I’m doing P90X with Fiance. Today is day 3. We’ve started and stopped this as well, so hopefully I can shed some real weight. I want to get down 2 dress sizes but no more because then my dress won’t fit!

@Beth2010: I was reading your post and thinking in my head, it sounds exactly like I could have wrote this!
I rejoined WW yesterday and after getting off the scale and taking a few moments to get it together I felt more confident that I will succeed than I ever have before! I quiet a bit of weight to loose but I am not in a hurry and if it takes me more than a year that is fine with me. My goal is 5lbs a month!
I think I am really going to like the new program!

Count me in! I am starting weight watchers today! I have done it before but not going to the meetings. I think the meetings will help because I need someone to throw it in my face if im not doing good so I can’t just say oh I’ll do it tomorrow. Good luck everyone!!

5 months ago I started working out and eating healthier. I’ve already lost 25 lbs and still losing! I wasn’t engaged then, so I was just doing it for myself… But now that I am I need to get working on my muscles! Time to start toning as well as losing!
Remember to keep it balanced, and keep it healthy ladies (make sure you are eating enough). And make small changes to start, those are the ones that stick!

I rejoined WW right after Thanksgiving but have been gaining and losing the same 3lbs.
I’m really committed to losing 15-20lbs by my wedding.
Last time I did WW I lost 20lbs and reached my goal. Time to do that again!

I just joined weight watchers (online) myself! A year ago I started hitting the gym regularly and after busting my butt for a year, I only lost 5 pounds. I have more energy though, feel better, and am more toned/look better in clothes. I know some of this is muscle I’ve gained, but it has also shown me that it’s true when they say 80% of it is what you put in your mouth. I have 8 months until my wedding and would like to lose 25-30 pounds. I am kicking up my exercise intensity and frequency and adding the weight watchers. So far I am loving the new program and am about a week into it.

I am working towards a new me as well and for the same reasons as you! I want to LOVE my pictures! I don’t want to look back and feel like “ugh, I look SO fat! OMG my arms! My face!” I want to look back and be like “Wow I look SO good!”. I am eating 1200-1500 calories and exercising for 1.5 hours every day. I am also doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. My goal is to lose 50 lbs by my wedding which is in 5 months so 10lbs a month.

I am so glad to see so many people in the same boat as me! I would be up for doing a post on here once a week to check in and see how everyone is doing. I think it would be a good thing and i know it would be helpful for me! If you are interested, let me know! I would be up for picking a day we can all get on here and check in. It wouldn’t matter if it was weigh in day for everyone or not, but it will give us all a chance to help each other with the struggles of the week! Any thoughts? And we can have the post be titled the same each week, so we know.
