Today is my pre wedding anniversary as I will be a married woman by the end of June 1, 2013!
I have decided to take everyones advice. As of today, I am going to plan this wedding according to me and my fiances standards. We are having a destination wedding in New Orleans (nope we have never been there, nope we have never lived there, nope we dont plan on living there) we just know St. Louis is not where we want to do it and are taking a leap.
As of today, I am going to stop worrying about “what if no one comes?”I realized that even if just 5 people show up then we will have this space, it will be still be gorgeous, we will still dance our asses off, and we will still have FUN!
This is about me and my fiance, no one else. I appreciate my families opinions but they are not needed if they are negative.
I told my mother all of this today at lunch…it was the best moment ever..she looked at me and said “Its about time…Ill be there no matter what”
Anyways….thank you for reading.

Congrats on making this decision. We had a nontraditional ceremony, and we’ve never regretted it. Happy planning!

yay! congrats on your pre-anniversary. I was just talking about my upcoming pre-anniversary. 🙂 love it.
It is hard keeping it just about you and your FH, but when you do, it just feels right!

That is so funny! I thought I was weird for calling it a “pre-aversary”! Glad to see I’m not the only one!
It’s your day and you have to do things the way you want – because its your for the rest of your life. No one else’s! Congrats date twin!

@LaTortuga: Your fiance sounds as sappy as mine. My fiance was actually in Scotland looking at our venue on 6/1 so he sent me a picture outside of the church that said only 365 days from today. He also sent flowers which was a nice touch.
I cannot believe that we’ll be married in under a year!
