@Brooke1226:  That is disgusting. I hope the police are able to find out who it was. Glad your Fiance is okay!

Wow – that is AWFUL. Last week on a major highway I saw a guy on a motorcycle have a tire blowout. Thank goodness when he went down a car didn’t hit him, but 4-5 cars still stopped right away and ran to check on him. Seriously, how could not even one person stop? Disgusting.

@Brooke1226:  Good idea, I hope no hospital visits will be necessary. Fingers crossed!

Wow, I can’t believe no one stopped. A few years ago when I was in college a girl fell on the ice while walking on campus and 4 of us were there picking her up and making sure she got to the student medical services. Last year I slipped on the icy sidewalk and fell (yay poofy down coat, didn’t get hurt) and a car pulled over to ask me if I was ok. I’m glad you were there shortly after it happened and everything is alright.

Yikes, I am glad he is okay! How sad that no one could be bothered to stop! I saw someone once tip over on their motorcycle and get pinned under it. About 10 cars stopped and at least five guys immediately jumped out of their vehicles to pull the bike off the person who was thankfully fine and able to drive away. I stopped, but knew I would be of no help so I “helped” by blocking traffic with my stopped car.

So sorry to hear of your FI’s accident! My husband and I both ride, as well as several of our friends. NO EXCUSE for someone not to stop. I hope you reported it (I think you said you did above) and I hope his recovery is quick. Crashing is awful. You have every right to be angry at that driver and passerbys!

Oh god, I’m glad he’s okay.

My Father-In-Law (or Father-In-Law to be) was in a terrible bike accident. He shattered his pelvis, ended up with brain damage, hurt his arms and was in seriously critical condition for a while. He’s at 98% now which is about the best he’ll ever be. Ever since that day though, I’ve been unable to look at a biker without a sick feeling in my stomach. 🙁 Bikes are awesome and fun, but considering how many injuries happen to the people on them, is it worth the thrill?

I just really, really hope that people didn’t notice him on the side of the road because I can’t stomach that no fellow Aussie stopped to help.

I’m very glad that he is ok though. Any chance that the car driver will be caught?

There has been so much in the media here about bikes and bikie gangs, but that really is unacceptable. I’m glad your Fiance is okay. I hope all the people who saw but did nothing are feeling terrible. Like you said, the only thing to be worried about is whether or not he was hurt, not conceals weapons! Ugh. So angry for you.

@Brooke1226:  well, I first must just say that THANK GOD your Fiance is ok. It could have been a lot worse.

People do suck, and it really is horrible that not a single person could take 5 minutes out of their commute home to check to make sure someone just hit by a car was ok. 🙁

That is absolutely terrible. I can’t believe that the car that hit him didn’t stop and that no one driving by stopped! I’m glad to hear that he wasn’t seriously injured!
