So today was going to be my wedding day. We had picked 5-1-10 for our wedding day 3 years ago when we got engaged. We thought that would be enough time for us to get money and be done with school etc. I bought napkins and other stuff that had that date on it. Then about a year ago my Fiance basically said its not going to happen that day. I was completly devistated! We lost out 1k deposit on our venue and everything. Decided to start fresh and yes we ended up finding my dream wedding for way lesssssssssssssssss then the price of the 1st one and it will end up being perfect for 10-10-10 is the date we choose. However there is still a bit inside of me that is sad π
We have been together for almost 7 years and engaged for almost 4 so i feel like everyone thinks it will never happen. I know i will finally and i know we have an awesome date but it feels a bit depressing to know today could’ve been the day i would’ve been his MRS.
Just needed to vent and get it out cuz my friends and family dont care and just say o well.
Thanks girls!

I’m sorry for the stress today. But you will be better in the long run for spending less and having the money saved. You don’t want to start your marriage in a ton of debt.

I’m sorry to hear about your needing to reschedule, but I’m sure your 10/10/10 wedding will be great (and what a neat date to choose)! Maybe you and your Fiance should do something special today, just to celebrate by yourselves- like a picnic or a nice dinner. That always cheers me up, at least!

Aw, I’m so sorry for the bad connotations for you on today. But think about it this way, you’re so close to becoming his wife soon. Oct isn’t far away now at all.

im so sorry to hear this. i am sure this is a hard day for you. i always say that things happen for a reason π for instance, where i am it is going to storm and rain all weekend. i dont know about your location but here it would be a ugly weekend for a wedding.
We were going to get married 10-10-10. i LOVE that date. we had to move it bc of our officiant but i love your date. my new date stinks…6-6-10. ugh….
Try to keep positive and think…10-10-10 is only 5 months away! how exciting! congrats π

I am so sorry that it isn’t happening on the day that the two of you had originally intended on, but just remember that when your special day comes, it is the person you are sharing the rest of your life with that is going to make it momentuous and memorable! I love the idea of your wedding date for 10-10-10, it is definitely something easy to remember! I love it!

I know how you feel! My wedding was originally Sept. 11, 2010, but for financial reasons we pushed it back to June next year.
Even though I’m so excited for our wedding, I think a part of me will be sad when Sept goes by this year.
Hope you feel better soon! Sounds like you’re getting a great upgrade from your later wedding date π

I had that same feeling last year on our “was suppose to be” date of June 25th…so I know how you are feeling. It does get better, and to does help to be planning for the “real” date as we started calling it. Now our real date is 2 weeks away and things are going fine!

Aww… I can relate all too well. Our wedding date was October 10th & then we bumped it up to July 10th, only to move it back to 10-10-10. lol musical wedding dates here π
July 10th was the ideal, but life got in the way. (HUGS)
