@Flanders:  I used to say hell no but now I am thinking about it. My Dirty Delete is 2 and a half almost so I won’t enter her just yet but when she is 4 I might. My Darling Husband is kinda against it but he says we can try. If she doesn’t like it though I will pull her out. I’m not going to force her.

Personally, I am completely against it. Playing dress up and fooling around with make-up is one thing, but what these people are doing is ridiculous. 3 year olds should not look like mini-teenagers. Plus some of the costumes they wear and the dance moves they do are just plain age-inappropriate. This is just my opinion though.

@Flanders:  I’m not a mom but between the kids throwing fits and the moms spending SO MUCH money on costumes, travel, coaches, etc.  I say hell no!

I know they win money and most put them in college funds, but with the money spent on the aforementioned expenses I think you could double that college fund without the effort put into pageants.

@Flanders:  I feel the same way about those kids. The moms (sometimes dads) are nuts sometimes! lol Dirty Delete has a fun personality but she doesn’t listen very well right now. I don’t want to put alot of time into it if she won’t pay attention. lol (: She lovesssss the camera though.

i dont think there is anything wrong with it except the spray tans, lashes, other over the top parts of it. expecially the fake teeth. i just think it has gone too far at times. smh scary i do understand thats part of the flawless look etc but i wish they wouldve left all of that to the adult pageants

@Flanders:  I don’t care for them. I can’t stand Toddlers & Tiaras, and actually I’ve never watched it, but based off of the commercials it just seems so weird and creepy. Little girls wearing makeup and wigs and costumes is fine for dress up I guess, but to be judged by adults in a pageant…no ma’am, something in the milk aint right.

I am indifferent to it. My husband thinks it is sick. My parent’s entered me into a baby pageant when I was 1 years old. Obviously, I don’t remember anything about it.  I don’t think it was quite like the pageants in Toddler’s and Tiaras. My mother still has the trophy somewhere at her house.

It seems like:

  1. The moms on this show need a hobby & something to spend $$$ on.
  2. Rarely do the kids enjoy the pageant.
  3. Way more drama than there should be.
  4. Too much focus on “looks”? These are kids. They’re beautiful no matter what.

I would never send my kid to one of these for multiple privacy issues, however it also depends on the kid’s personality. I’d have no problem encouraging them to dance, or do other performance based sports activities, if i see that they have the competitive drive and passion.

Yeah…some of those little girls dresses cost more than my wedding dress. Hell no.
