It’s a good idea, but I would worry about nut allergies as they are very prevalent. Also, I think it would be best to go with something lighter such as a lemon flavored treat or maybe slices of bundt cake instead.

They sound good to me. If someone is allergic to nuts (they are not near as common as folks want you to believe) or don’t like them then they don’t have to take any. Especially since favors are optional to begin with.

@Ember78 I don’t know that they’re uncommon at all. I have several friends who range from mildly to severely allergic to them, including my father. The thing I’m worried about is contamination. Because it would be very easy to contaminate somebody’s food on accident with the nuts.

While I love many nuts and toffee….I’d be cautious. I am allergic to peanuts and I know tons of people allergic to nuts in general.

Toffee on a hot day, especially outside will end up being really sticky and probably melt, don’t you think? My daughter’s wedding was last week and it was an 84 degree day. We had chocolate (but it was inside and air conditioned) or we wouldn’t have considered it. I’d hate to see you waste time and money on something that might end up being a stuck together mess!
