Sorry, bee. 🙁

It’s good that you’re finding the positive in it not being today, but I think you’re completely entitled to wallow for a bit. What you expected to happen isn’t happening, and that sucks, even if the reasons for changing it were good.

“So now I’ll be 33 when we get married and I always said I didn’t want to be any older than 30 UGH.”

I think setting deadlines for major life experiences is a bit of self-sabotage. Be happy! I don’t know your circumstances, but you’re in a loving relationship with someone who wants to marry you and share his life with you.

And having such a short engagement myself, I’m actually quite jealous of how much time you’ll have to plan everything just the way you like it. I feel like the engagement has kind of whipped by me in a flash, and I wish I would have had more time to slow down and enjoy the ride. Best of luck to you!

That was me last year.  We had our date set for OCtober.  Vendors booked, invitations out, everything.  Then we had to push it back to this September.  It was hard for me as well, BUT I can honestly tell you that I am soooooooooo much more excited this time around.  And I was pretty excited before! haha  It gave me more time to change some small details and I think my Fiance are even in a better place then we were a year ago.

It gets easier once the date passes.  Then you can start looking ofrward to your amazing wedding rather than thinking about the other one.

think of all the extra time you have to research and do your diy projects without getting stressed for time.  now you have time to save more money too.

@NurseMandie:  Awww don’t feel sad Bee. While I understand how you feel, this is happening : in 2 years, you’ll be married to the man you love.

It doesn’t get any better than this.

Keep your chin and get excited !

@NurseMandie:  Aw I’m sorry *hugs*

Just a suggestion, though.. obviously I don’t know your situation, but could you elope sooner? To me the wedding isn’t all that important… it’s the marriage that you’re signing up for.

We’re eloping and I’m happy with that choice. It kinda sounds to me like you just want to be married already!

aw sorry you’re sad, but look on the brightside – no one wants to be sick on their wedding! 🙂  2 years will fly by! When you say you’ll be 33 and not getting any younger – are you referring to having children? 2 years is plenty of time to have one before then! 😉

Dont stress. You still have your man and that is more important than anything. Its not like your life is put on hold due to the postponement of the wedding, your day will just be later than you originally planned. Don’t let this cloud whats important. Enjoy your life together in the mean time.
