… But things happened, doubts sunk in, support wasn’t there, and money fell short. I’m having a bittersweet weekend at work this weekend instead of my wedding. Hopefully, we will be having one in the near future. I need to get a full time job before we can even set a real date. After being engaged a year and a half, no one is even remotely interested in the wedding anymore. People have moved on. The medium sized wedding I have imagined will be downgraded to a small wedding to save money and because a lot of people in our lives have bailed on us. It’s disappointing.
I’m just bummed all around.

I think once you have a new date set and it gets closer, the excitement will come back. People are probably just waiting for solid plans before they get excited again! Cheer up, buttercup! Your wedding will come, and it will be worth the wait!

@ama0219: Aww i’m so sorry 🙁
You can have a gorgeous wedding with the people that count. Even if it is small. At least you have each other right?
Buy some bright red nail polish to give yourself a mani/pedi, rent that movie you’ve been dying to see, get some chocolate icecream and treat yourself!

Aw! I’m so sorry you’re in this position. I know it’s got to be a downer this weekend but try to treat yourself to something to cheer yourself up and look to the future. Sending lots of mental hugs your way…

Awww I’m sorry it won’t be the wedding you thought it would, but you can still make it special. Is the wedding something you feel you will miss out on if you don’t have it? Cuz if not, you could still go to the courthouse tomorrow and get married!! It could be just you and Fiance, and you could make it a special secret that you revealed after the fact. Just a though ((HUGS))

Chin up, sweeetie! You’re perfectly entitled to feel down this weekend..i would too (a lot, maybe), but think the wait will be worth it.

The excitement will come around again, I promise. Once you have the date and things are moving again it will be as though you never had to postpone.
That being said, you can feel as sad as you want this weekend, I would too! It will be good for you in the long run instead of holding it all in.
