hello ladies! i had this grand plan of getting a personal trainer for 6 months prior to the wedding to be the buffest, fittest bride ever…. yeah, then reality set in and i realized that it would be silly to spend the money on a work out that (theoretically) i can do myself. i have a fully equipped gym in my apartment building. i run 3-5 days a week, but can’t figure out the best upper body/back toning regimen. any thoughts for more experienced gals out there? thus far i finish my work out with three sets of three different arm exercises every day (12 reps per set)…. but it’s dealers choice when it comes to the type of exercise.
i really just want to get the most out of my time. what should i be doing ladies?

Well, the basics of weight lifting are fewer reps at a higher weight to bulk and more QUICK reps for length and tone on muscles. Most women want to do a lighter weight with quick and many reps…
Pushups are good, assisted pull ups, planks, yoga can help too.
I used to (and need to again) do pushups basically whenever I could. I would do 20 during a commercial break, take a break from the computer, do them before bed etc…. I was doing them for 2 fold reasons of toning but also for surfing 🙂

I’m trying to figure out a routine to incorporate with my cardio.
The trainer may be the way to go, because I’m really looking into it myself. At least to get you started.
