Would a co-sleeper that attaches to the bed (thus making it bigger) work for you? We just got one and it’s heaven to have our space back, but have DS close by as well.

Also, my little guy grew like a weed the first 2.5 months, and then his growth slowed considerably. Although every baby is different, a lactation consulant I spoke to said that breastfed babies often slow their growth after 2 months.

@mrsSonthebeach:  http://www.amazon.com/DaVinci-Alpha-Mini-Rocking-Crib/dp/B000FT7NUG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3828DTOYPLDUQ&coliid=IZSNXMR2INNLP

Here’s a mini crib on wheels that has great reviews on Amazon. It rocks and is only $129.00. You could sell it afterward, too. Or check CL for other minicribs!  If you read the comments of the reviews on Amazon, people tell you where to get sheets for cheap that fit.

I know you’ve kinda ruled out the cosleeper, but your tot won’t fit in one anyway. Our DS is 25″ 12.8 lbs and barely fits in his. We’re hoping to get three more weeks out of it so we can take it on vacation vs. the pac n’ play.

Do you have pets that come into the bedroom? If not, you could just have her sleep on the floor on a playmat or something. Babies don’t need much cushioning to be comfy, our DS sleeps on his playmat during the day a lot and is happy as a clam.

Otherwise, maybe you can put the pac n’ play partially in your bedroom closet to save floor space? Move your clothes to the nursery?

We’re going to use the basic Graco pack n play, the one without the newborn napper. It’s around $60-70 at Babies R Us, but it’s always going on sale. And, sometimes they have those 20% off coupons that print out with receipts.

You could get a mattress for the Pack n Play to give better support. 🙂 They sell them on amazon and in stores like buy buy baby or babies r us. I’d suggest a mini-crib too, but they are the same size as a Pack n Play and less portable, and the little 1in pad they come with isn’t better than a packnplay so you would have to buy a mini crib mattress anyway. Graco also makes a travel crib that is a little smaller than the Pack n Play, might want to see if she’d fit in that.
