@felixfelicis:  My Boyfriend or Best Friend bought my ring about a month ago, a week later we stumbled upon and bought my dress…and he still hasn’t popped the question, so obviously *I* don’t think you’re looking too early 😉

My wedding is a week before yours and I went for the first time the other day.  I went in with the goal of finding what style worked for me and what didn’t.  I didn’t love any of the dresses I tried or even feel like I’ve found the right style for me but I think it was a great day and opened me up to other options.

Go and see, you may find your dream dress..

I got engaged in April 2012 and I started looking in July 2012…My wedding is October 5, 2013 but I knew I was going to be picky lol I wound up saying YES 11 months before the wedding date because I wanted to have ample time for ordering! Have fun 🙂

I bought mine 1 year and 1 month before the original date (August), but we moved it up a couple months (June) since we decided to change from a local wedding to a destination.  Good thing!  The dress arrived in April and they said for alterations they wanted 6 weeks (luckily no alterations, so I took it home in April!).

If I didn’t get lucky with alterations, I would’ve cut it close.  I also stopped looking at dresses after I bought mine because I wanted to avoid dress regret.  So if you buy early, stop looking!!
