@littlemiss604:  If it isn’t too inconvenient for you, I would book the showroom tour (don’t go alone) and investigate it in person. This way, you can check out how legit the operation is and feel comfortable — or if you get out there and don’t like what you see no love (or money!) lost.

@littlemiss604:  Ask for some references- not just clients, which could be friends or employees, but the names of venues to  which he has supplied chairs. Phone the venues and speak to the catering manager.
