I absolutely love that dress on you! I think it’s funny that your co-workers said that. Not because I actually THINK it’s funny, but because fit and flares are usually very complimenting on curvy body types such as yours. I originally had thought I wanted a ballgown (I wear a street size 8/10 and am very curvy) to try and hide my body, but I wound up falling in love with a mermaid and have never felt more beautiful than when I wear her!

I think that dress is INCREDIBLE! I may even opt to make it a sweetheart neckline though? but I’m partial to those, it’s up to you. That dress makes your gorgeous figure look even more amazing!

Looks great!! So glad to hear that you’re sticking to your guns and going with what you like!

And about your mom – mine wasn’t thrilled with the fit to flare/mermaid dresses I was trying and preferred an a-line. That was until I found the most perfect dress that was fit to flare and then she was totally on board. So maybe it’s more the dress that she wasn’t feeling vs the shape.

Either way you look fabulous! Have fun!

Your ass looks fab, just FYI. I actually kind of like how the train draws some attention to it, and the dress looks amazing. I want it.

I mean it. I cannot stop scrolling up and look at the pictures of you in this dress. It’s amazing. You look beautiful in it. I love pretty much everything about it.

    I think it looks great.

If you decide to keep looking: I probably would not go any more fitted. The trumpet is about as far as I would take it since you are quite curvy (which is completely different from heavy–curvy is a term for proportions, not size). A true mermaid might be too dramatic. You could also try fit-and-flares and A-lines.
