I’m getting married at Twin Oaks in San Marcos in early August. We booked it in January and didn’t think about the August weather too much. Now that we’ve booked it’s too late to change it. Will early August be way too hot? Will it be humid? If anyone has knowledge of the weather there in August?
I was thinking about having a wedding in June, but it’s so gray in San Diego in June and most of my family is coming from the east coast and I didn’t want them to get here during one of the grayest months of the year.
Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Is your wedding indoors or outdoors? If it’s indoors you should be fine. If it’s outdoors then there is a strong possiblity it will be hot. It doesn’t really get humid out here, so it’s just the heat you’ll need to worry about. Weathersource.com shows it was 81 degrees last year on your wedding date.

According to The Weather Channel’s temperature averages for San Marcos, the average high for the month of August is 89deg.

It may be hot but it doesn’t usually get too humid out here. What time is your ceremony? Is the whole wedding going to be outdoors? Do you have a tent rented? All things to consider.

I went to a wedding in Fallbrook (slightly east of San Marcos) last August, and while it was hot, and in the middle of the afternoon, it wasn’t unbearable. Even if you’re outside, as long as the ceremony isn’t too long in direct sunlight, you should be OK. Even if the reception is outside, people likely won’t be sitting in the sun not moving very long. I’d say the past couple years Sept & Oct have been hotter than August.
