I’m getting married in June and we didn’t have time to schedule our free engagement session for last summer or fall. Winter was also out of the question because here in WI the winter is too frigid to do the outdoor pictures I’d envisioned. Now I’m thinking of late March – early April…is that too late for engagement pictures? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I think it would only be to late to get engagement pictures if you were already married

Hehe no way! We did ours two weeks ago and it’s less than two weeks now until we get married! Why would it be too late?

- Wedding: June 2010 - New York Botanical Garden
Our wedding is in early June and we’re taking them at the end of April, so I say – go for it!

There is no such thing as too late when it comes to pictures. 🙂

of course not! One of the most important reasons to get e-pics taken is to get comfortable with your photographer. you could do them the day before the wedding and they’d still be valuable!

Definitely go for it! We switched photogs and we’ll be doing another engagement sitting this spring, since it comes with our photography package! We plan on using the pictures for “Thank you” photo cards (We’re getting married in June, too)!

Definitely not! Go for it!! In fact, we had our e-pics just two months in advance of our wedding. And like Blueshoes2, you can always use the pics for thank you notes and as part of your wedding album, if you like.

Honestly, I’ve done them “after” weddings 🙂 Never too late!

I’m getting mine done in May, and getting married in August. It’s like a trial run more than an announcement of our engagement.

As long as you’re still engaged, then they’re still engagement pictures. =) Go for it, girl!

Wow – I went to bed and woke up to so many responses! I will definitely be making that appointment for engagement pictures…you’re right, it’s never too late to get to know your photographer and have a fun (FREE) photo session with your Fiance. Thanks so much for your help bees!! 🙂

Heck no! My Fiance are getting married the first weekend in September and we aren’t taking them until June. Last fall we were busy with trying to buy a house—omg the stress—getting moved, his new job, then the holidays and then it was too cold. Doesn’t help that our photographer is pregnant and I would never ask her to chug around the hills taking photos of us in the winter, which we had initially talked about, while pregnant so that changed things. Unfortunately, the poor thing is on bed rest and has been since mid-January—she isn’t due until mid-May. She’s been in the hospital now for almost a month because of contractions and the baby wanting to come so early….praying the little one will stay in the oven until May!! 🙁

Never! Go for it.
