A very close family friend got married in my hometown in May. Fiance and I bought plane tickets, went, and had a really nice time. We honestly didn’t have any extra cash to give them a gift so my sister generously put our names on the card/gift that she and her husband bought.
Now I’m feeling really guilty we didn’t get them anything. Would it look weird if we sent a card this late? I don’t want her to think we’re doing it so they’ll give us a gift at our wedding. Should I just let it go or send them a card now?

I think I’ve heard somewhere that you can actually send a gift up to a year out from when the wedding originally took place so you ought to be just fine. 🙂

I’ve heard now you have up to three months after the wedding. Also, I would be excited to receive gifts any time!

No definitely not too late. We continued receiving gifts a few months after the wedding and they were very much appreciated.
