I would say no, you probably don’t need both, but it’s totally just personal preference. You also could consider having just the guys have leis and the girls have boquets that were matching instead

I LOVE the leis! Maybe have the girls with a flower on their wrists in lieu of bouquets ? 🙂

You can never have too many flowers. If you can afford it I think they should have bouquets

That sounds like such a great idea! The only thing that immediately came to mind is that it may be awkward for your girls to walk down the aisle without holding anything! It’s already kind of an awkward scenerio (all eyes on you as you walk by yourself down the aisle) that this may be accentuated by lack of a bouquet. Perhaps something smaller? Unless they are walking down with groomsmen in which case – ignore me 🙂

I think if you have the guys wear leis and women with matching bouquets/ flowers in their hair will be a great compromise

I agree with the PP who said leis plus flowers in the hair. I think leis plus bouquets would be too busy.

The awkwardness of not having anything to hold was the first thing that stuck in my mind, too! Maybe have the pretty leis, but then have plain white flowers in the bouquets as contrast? What are your colors?

I agree…it would be awkward to stand up there with no bouquets. I also think you can’t have too many flowers.

You could always have them hold a single flower. It would give them something to hold, it is inexpensive and you’ll already have all the lovely leis.
