I would imagine that salad in a jar would be difficuly to eat out of the jar. I’d skip it. And with a barbeque menu, I’d go with cole slaw, anyway.

For the floats you’ll need sturdy staws and long spoons.

the salad in a jar is super cute but might be too much. It doesn’t look like you have a hearty vegetarian option. A pasta salad would help if you have any of those in your party. Another set of jars is another expense to you. The rest sounds great!!

Skip the salad in a jar. Have a tossed salad provided by the caterer (caesar salad or a basic green salad?) or coleslaw. I wouldn’t do both salad and coleslaw. We had BBQ food at our wedding and had Caesar salad and it went great.

It would be difficult eatting a salad in a mason jar. I would either do a passed salad or do cole slaw. Pasta salad might also be a good idea. But for sure I would ditch the salad is a jar idea.

Another vote to skip the salad in a jar.

I would just do the jars for drinks, salad in a jar would be cumbersome to eat I think and Id rather have all my food on one plate.

I hate the idea of eating salad out of a jar.  I would have regular salad before pasta salad, but both would be nice.  There are very few vegetables on your list so I feel like you definitely need the salad.

Salads in a jar are for easy transport/mixing. Then you pour them onto a plate or into a bowl. these are great for prepping salads to take to work. These are not good for a wedding. Just have a regular Plated salad. There is no reason to have it in a jar.

I like the root beer floats idea I do not like salads in a jar though. It sounds too messy.

We get salads in a cup at the cafe at my work and they are a pain in the butt. Sorry! :/

alexa62:  Salad in a jar is more of a work-food thing. Easy portability. Ditch it.
