- Wedding: November 2014
So, I live in Colorado and am originally from NJ and will be getting married in NJ. I haven’t gone dress shopping with my mom and have mostly gone alone in CO and have been quite unsuccessful and have had many negative shopping experiences thus far. My mom and I decided that I really need to just go shopping with her, she is flying me back East to try on dresses with her. Originally, it was supposed to be my mother, my aunt (who is my god mother and like a second mother to me and has offered to buy my dress), my Maid/Matron of Honor (my cousins and best friend), and my sister in law. I mentioned to one of my BM’s that I was going back East to try on dresses and she kind of invited herself. I know she means well and am very appreciative of her wanting to make the trip since she lives 3 hours away from where we are going shopping but, one of the stores only allows the bride to bring 4 guests and I have 5. She is a very close friend of mine and has already gotten the day off from work and I feel incredibly guilty uninviting her because I want her to be there and I have not seen her in awhile. Do I just show up to the salon with one extra person? Can I just sneak her in? Or should I uninvite her? I don’t feel like I can really uninvite her though…isn’t that rude?
