I met with my parents tonight and definitely need some help.
So our wedding is in September and tonight I was told that we are adding clams casino and clams rockerfella to our cocktail hour. This is in addition to the sushi, warm artichoke dip and chips and… butler served spanakopita and mushroom caps to the menu.
I was convinced that the cocktail hour was already food heavy but now I am just overwhelmed and feel nervous that the caterer is going to be able to push out all this food (in good quality). We already have 4 stations in the reception and I just think its all way too much.
The problem is my parents are offering to pay the caterer the one thing my fiancé and I aren’t paying for. I am so grateful for the offer but I sort of think its going to be a disaster. I do not want to overwhelm the caterers and I can’t help to judge their ideas of now adding 2 more shellfish (very similar items) to the cocktail hour.
Am I just being a brat?
