Right now as is… I’d say it looks “Too Wedding-like”

And based on your description of the venue for the Reception Dinner too formal…

Particularly so if the other Guests will be wearing Cocktail Dresses… personally I wouldn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable by intentionally out-dressing them / over-dressing as the Honoured Guest that you and your Hubby will be.

(Might make a good Wedding Reception Gown tho if you are tempted to do that)

OR if you are willing to cut it… it could work as a shorter length cocktail dress for the Rehersal Dinner.

Hope this helps,

Way too much. It is an actual wedding dress

Cute wedding reception dress like pp said, I think is way too much of bridal look for a rehearsal dinner.

It looks great on you!  If you shortened it then it could be really cute.  And in a different colour I’d say go for it.  But as PPs have said, I think it’s a little too close to bridal.

I think you should wear it. When will you ever get another chance to go all out.

It’s beautiful and with your rehearsal dinner being at a fancy resturant I think you could get away with wearing it:)))

@drlolaz:  My first thought was, yes. Then I thought, to hell with that – you’re the bride, you can wear whatever you like! I would however, wear coloured accessories – shoes, a belt, statement necklace etc.

The only reason I wouldn’t wear it, is if it’s anything like you’re wedding dress.

@This Time Round:

A beautiful dress – to take some of the “bridal” look away I’d cut it to a shorter length and pair it with some fun shoes and a small matching purse or clutch and it will still show you as the co-guest of honor (with your fiance) without looking like getting dressed a day ahead of time for your wedding.

But it is your wedding rehearsal – enjoy it!!!!

I agree with the previous posters. Wearing a cute white dress is fine, but not one that can be mistaken for a wedding gown (well it is one so it technically wouldn’t be a mistake…haha)

Fancy restaurant, jackets required… sure.  Go for it!  Maybe it wont be so wedding dress like if you have the train cut?

I wouldn’t waear that for a rehearsal dinner. go in a nice colourful cocktai ldress I would say You will have the change to wear this dress in another more appropiate event (your wedding maybe? 🙂 )

It looks more like a reception dress to me than a rehearsal dinner dress.
