- Wedding: June 2012
So I had my make-up and hair trial. I used Mrs. Ostrich‘s pictured above, possing picture as my make-up inspiration. She really looked beautiful.
What I ended up with, in pictures looks nice but I kinda looked like a glamored up hooker, or like I was going to be in the Christina Aguilera version of Lady marmalade before I got into a fist fight and lost. My picture kinda sucks. (below)
I know the girl told me that since I’m not used to wearing heavy make-up, that it will look like it’s too much. I agreed it looked like it was a lot. In the picture it looked good but in real life…. I didn’t have the look that I liked. My fiance saw me and I saw the disappointment in his face. It was not the look that I was hoping to see especially on our wedding day. I want him to be in awe. He was so sweet and said that I didn’t need all that make-up, that I was naturally beautiful.
The artist decided to do a light smokey eye but eye make-up and I are enemies. It refuses to stay in place. Even after using primer and all the good stuff everything ended up smudging and eventually went down to under my eye, where I looked like I lost a boxing match.
So I embarrassedly told her that the eye make-up was too much for me, since it was me that showed her my inspiration picture and these are the ones I came up with now. She gave me the option of a “glowy look” that I did want to try that I had seen on Leighton Meister before but for some reason I didn’t save it. So I have decided I want to try that.
Not glowing, but this one is beautiful. This is what I like but I think it’s more of evening make-up, and the wedding is at the beach in the afternoon.
I like her eyes here, combined with her face on the picture below.
So my dilema is….Do I need help? What do you guys think? I chose her because we have the same eye color
