I’m having a dilemma as far as planning the church ceremony and the reception at another venue. The earliest my guests can get into the reception is 6:30. The choices for mass times are 2:00 or 5:30. The 5:30 mass would be held about 30 mins from the reception location. I originally wanted to allow time for people to go check into the hotel between the ceremony and reception, while also allowing enough time to bus them over to the reception (to cut down on drinking and driving).
How much time do you think I will need for people to travel to the hotel (near the reception site) and get them to the reception? I’m not sure if a 5:30 mass is too late, and then what time to begin cocktail hour. I just don’t want the night to feel as if it’s over already by the time we finally get there! Thanks Bees!
