So, I just got my estimate from a florist. $725 for my bouquet ($100), 8 corsages ($16 each), 9 boutinneres ($12 each), and 25 bunches of flowers ($14 each) (dahlias, some hydrangeas, grasses and grains, and other seasonal flowers) for me to make centerpieces with (I am actually looking forward to that part. I need to get more vases though. I’ve been collecting vintage apothocary vials and milk bottles, but I need some bigger containers too). We are not having bridesmaids and groomsmen, the corsages and bouttinneres are for our immediate families and grandparents (is that something people usually do?)
Does this seem like a reasonable amount to spend for that? For reference, we are hoping to have around 120 people at our wedding, and don’t exactly have a very well-defined budget, though I’m guessing we’ll end up spending somewhere around $30k total.
Thanks for your opinions.

Yes, those numbers sound very reasonable.

Yes – VERY reasonable. For comparison, my florist is charging $225 for my bridal bouquet, $175 per centerprice (but she is putting them together), $24 per corsage and $18 per boutinnere.

Definitely reasonable! Most florists charge a lot more for bridal bouquets.

@ferdie224: That’s almost exactly what we paid and we got a very similar package to that. I think it’s reasonable – it was way cheaper than any of the other florists we looked at.

I agree seems very reasonable!

@ferdie224: For someone that isn’t going through a florist, it sounds pricey, but I guess I’m just cheap that way. I’ve heard some girls spending $2k+ for wedding flowers.

that would blow my budget. i am a little on the cheap side with that. i can’t justify speding that much money on something that is going to die. with that said, we are getting roses from costco ($16.99 for two dozen-i will need 4 dozen) and, with the help of my aunts & friends, are making our 2 bouquets and 6 boutineers and 3 corsages.
