Omg, people can say the stupidest things! I got married at 37 after dating Fiance for 5 years. Before that, I dated other people, worked on my career, travelled, lived my life. There is no time limit on when you can meet the right person. I wish people would stop judging. I was considered to be “marrying later in life” because I wasn’t in my 20’s anymore. Don’t listen to them – you get married when you’re ready to get married and have the love of your life, no matter WHAT age that is!

He is white, brown hair blue eyes and freckled. No accent. I do not want to stereotype, some cultures value marrying young and having babies. I did not expect that conversation.
It has been 8 months since this incident. He does not know why I avoid talking to him. Guess he is just clueless all the way around.

its all just horse for course… different cultures, religons, upbrings that influence peoples idea on life and expectations
there are a lot of girls in certain cultural background here that are married between 16-18, older than that is deemed ‘old’ to them (although some girls are now starting to buck the trend) but in other circles people couldnt even imagine being married at 16-18 and then say the girls are ‘forced by parents’ which is also an unfair assumption (I was engaged at 16, stupid and nieve maybe but definatly not forced into it… and yet I wont be married until 30)
just like having a child at 18 vs. 35 people will do what they want in line with their views and as long as it doesnt hurt anyone else then it no one elses business and those who make comment should just be ignored if you dont agree but everyone views are equal and fair and they are entitled to them

Hilarious! Love knows no age. Get married when you find the love of your life!
I get such a mix, I have known so many women who are like “why do you want to get married and ruin your life so early?” – I reply “I’m almost 30!” anyhow I also get others that are like “you’ve been with your man 7 years, can’t commit, huh?” – and I’m like “no we are trying to be financially responsible.”
For ever and ever – people are going to give you their unsolicited opinions, just let them brush off your shoulders.

When I was younger, I wanted to be married by 23, first kid at 25, second kid at 27. HA! I am 27 now, about to turn 28, and I am so glad that’s not how things happened.
That guy is a jerk.

what a bunch of hooey lol, no such thing as a time limit on when to get married, your “equipment” is not deemed unusable after 34 lol
