I’m looking for some opinions on whether or not you guys think a dress is too sexy/revealing for a wedding. I’ve been on the hunt for my wedding dress the past few months and have been to a few bridal salons and tried on a fair share of dresses but just haven’t had that feeling of finding “the one” It definitely doesn’t help that I’m super picky to begin with but I definitely know what I’m looking for in a wedding dress but just haven’t been able to find it since I started looking. However, the past few days I came across the Katie May- Poipu and the Willowby by Watters- Inez and I feel like I have found everything I want in a dress. They’re simple, all lace and just more of that casual feel that I’m looking for. The only concern I find myself having is whether or not they are too sexy for the wedding we have planned. I think these dresses are PERFECT for a beach wedding or destination wedding but our wedding is in October with our ceremony in a renovated barn and the reception in a pavilion in a vineyard. I plan on going to try on the Watters dress sometime next week but I was just wondering what y’alls opinions were about the dresses and the type of wedding we have planned. I know it may seem like a silly question but I’m really torn on if the dress is just too much! ughhh I honestly feel like I’m never going to find my wedding dress!!

I like the Katie May! The Watters dress looks more like lingerie. Truth be told, it doesn’t even look flattering on the model. Once you have it on, you’ll have a better idea of what your body does for the dress and vice-versa.

I don’t think either of them are too sexy

They look perfectly fine to me. But keep in mind this is coming from someone with a super low V plunge on her dress. 🤗 Not to show off the girls but bc I have these tattoos I love and want to be visible. Its not like you’re getting married in a church and these aren’t exactly over the top sexy dresses. Go for it.

I like the Katie better than Watters! I dont think they are too sexy at all. These type of dresses are calling for slim tall brides IMO, quite unforgiving if you carry a bit of weight (not implying anything, just a generel statement) 😊

I don’t think those dresses are too sexy. The backless gowns are so common these days. If there are any issues with these dresses is that they are unforgiving. Difficult to find shapewear and the dresses show every crease and bump. I tried the Katie May one at Nordstrom’s and didn’t find it too sexy, just wasn’t that flattering on me.

In my opinion, the Watters one is a little too much with the side boob and all. But the other one isn’t too bad. If you’re concerned, you could always add a little bit to the back so it’s not so low.

That depends largely on how big your boobs are, because it’ll sit differently.

I think it depends what YOU look like in it, one dress on one lady could be very plain and on another very sultry. It would be decided on your shoulders and boobs, your frame in general and how it hangs, try a dress on like it and see how you feel, if you can pull off backless then go for it!

I think the models in the picture are not all done up like you typically would be in a wedding dress which makes them look more sexy or like lingerie. But the Katie dress would be gorgeous when you’re all glammed up! It’s simple, elegant, and sexy!

shelbymac : you should be good as long as you invest in some good double sided tape! 🙂

I think it depends on your curves and how sexy is too sexy for you/your family/your guests.

I think they are both fine. I cant say which I like better because they could look very different on you than the models and honestly are both pretty similar. Try them on and and decide from there.
