Maybe my math is horribly wrong, but I think you would be around 7 weeks on November 7th if you ovulated a week or two ago? Pregnancies are dated not from when you actually conceived, but when your last period was… so assuming you ovulated two weeks ago, and assuming your period was regular-ish and was two weeks before that… that’s 4 weeks… and you tack on the three weeks-ish from now until November 7th and it seems like that’s 7 weeks?

But to be safe maybe call your doctor back and ask. πŸ™‚ When I scheduled my appointment, I told them I wasn’t sure when my last period was, but I knew what day I ovulated since I had been tracking that with ovulation tests, so they scheduled me out for my first ultrasound based on that date!

MrsBubsy :  My OB has told me they can start doing ultrasounds as long as the HCG is over 1,000 which is usually around 6w or so.  When we do get pregnant again that’s what she is doing with me so I think you will probably be fine.  Just be prepared that it probably won’t be an external ultrasound πŸ™‚

I had an transvaginal US at 5w0d and there was a heartbeat so there’ll be a little gummy bear there on the screen even if it is a bit early πŸ™‚

Well, you can still have an ultrasound.  But if you think you’re not as far along you should just be prepared for them to see an embryo that is not 8 weeks along.  I would definitely tell them that you suspect you may not be as far along and why.  You would probably be 7 weeks along.

I had a dating US at 6 weeks and they were able to clearly see the yolk sac, embyro (I think it’s an embryo at this point) and heartbeat. So, you should be able to see something even if you’re not quite 8 weeks, especially if they do transvaginal.
