So our wedding is in October 2014, and we have picked our invites, love them….we also have all of our wedding things necessary for the invites picked, deposits paid and contracts signed….
well this morning in my e-mail i got a cupon for an additional 20% off the already on sale invitations. This cupon and sale lasts throught next week so I dont have to decide now, BUT! like 30-40% off my invites is pretty sweet and I dont want to miss out on a great deal. We arent changing anything with our wedding, unless people keep going and we decide to elope (chanes of that with my traditional Fiance are about 0.0001%, myself however I would give it a 20% chance soo probably not happening lol)
So should I order them just under 11 months ahead of time? and keep them in the bank lock box so they are here safe and done?? Or should I wait and just pay full price closer to time??
I mentioned to my mom that I might order them now, and every one in the room looked at me like I was insaine, since they think I could change my mind about our 4pm ceremony start time and bump it to like 3pm….(not happening)…
What do you ladies think….Order now and take advantage of black friday sales or wait to order it when the (apparently bible of planning a wedding) wedding planning book says to order them (i think around the 6 month out mark)

If contracts are signed id say go for it! Invites are expensive – I’d definitely take advantage of the sale. I ordered our menus a month ago because there was a 40% off sale… And I’m still 6 months out!

I’ve already changed the start time of my ceremony and some of the logistics and my wedding is just under a year away. The reason for my change of time was trying to give myself more time for photos. If you already have your timeline for the day of and it seems pretty solid, you could order, but just beware that you may want to change things up between then and now. I thought my original timeline was perfect and didn’t think there was any chance of me changing it…

@kansas_nurse: Go for it! I got all my invite supplies and had them designed before even ordering Save-The-Date Cards. I’m making everything and I wanted to place one large bulk paper order to save on shipping costs. My family thought I was nuts, too, but if it takes crazy to save money – I’m game.

@Soon2BeMrsS: haha that is how i feel! we are paying for everything ourselves….down to the last cent….so yeah we are down for a bargain! lol!
Thanks everyone I am going to review with Fiance tonight and go over them one last time, and hopefully be able to order them soon!! I just hope I am not crazy for doing this lol!

@kansas_nurse: Hey date twin!
I say go for it! Our invites are currently in the “design” phase, as they’re being gifted to us by a friend who’s a graphic designer.
Save that money!

Mine were ordered about 8 months ahead of time because I couldn’t pass up a good sale. I think as long as you’re confident that timing and details won’t change it should be fine
