My sweetheart ordered my ring and has hinted at proposing as soon as it gets in (about 3 weeks!) but is it too soon or weird that we’ve been planning our wedding for the last few months?
How soon is too soon to plan? We want to get everything outta the way and enjoy being engaged. Is that odd?

It isn’t odd at all! 🙂
We aren’t officially engaged yet, either- the ring is coming this Summer- but we’ve been talking about a wedding for a couple months and have even started discussing venues (hypothetically). I believe that as long as you’re both comfortable, it doesn’t matter when you start planning.
Also, I totally agree with wanting to get things done so you can just enjoy being engaged. I feel like SO and I will get everything out of the way pretty fast so we can just relax before the big day.

@beachbride127: Are you thinking of getting married in 2014 or 2015? If it’s 2015, I think it’s a little too early to do most things. Maybe scout out some venues, but I wouldn’t do much else.

I agree that it is too soon to plan if it’s more than 1.5 years away. You’d be AMAZED how much can change in that time span (case in point: Fiance was laid off from his job in VA, where we were planning our wedding, and we had to start from scratch in NC!)
