Hello everyone, I ordered a dress and am now having second thoughts because I think it may be too trendy. Please give me your honest opinions. The dress I ordered is the ruffled Junko Yoshioka gown. Thanks!
I am now loving this Pnina gown because it is more classic and glamorous. The last thing that I want is to look back at my photos and think “What was I thinking wearing that dress.”

I think the first dress is stunning, but I’m partial to the fit of those Pnina dresses. The one you put there is one of my favorites. Tough choice, but I don’t think you need to worry because the first dress is just gorgeous.

I think that both dresses are beautiful! The Junko Dress isn’t too trendy, but that Pnina dress is gorgeous, i love that neckline!

If I had a choice between those two dresses, I would pick the first one hands down. It isn’t trendy, it is certainly creative – which is a GOOD thing.

I love the “edgier” dress a lot more. The other one isn’t glamorous In My Humble Opinion, quite the contrary! It’s a dress nobody will remember because everybody has it (strapless, mermaid silhouette, overly sexualized). The one you chose first has a cutting edge, it’s not seen often, it speaks of a bride who has a mind of her own and doesn’t chase trends.
I guess it all depends on the image you want to portrait 🙂

I like the first dress way more. No offense to anyone that has that second dress, but I think anything that low cut is far to obscene for public, much less a wedding. The first one is a show stopper and is absolutely beautiful, and I really don’t think it’s trendy at all.

This is a sample that wasn’t steamed out but it will give you an idea of what it will look like on me. I’m worried that the break at the waste is too low. The designer said they would raise the break 1″. I wish the dress fit like it did the model. I was absolutely in love with the dress when I found it but now there seems to be ruffles EVERYWHERE! I love the dress but I don’t want it to scream 2010. Thoughts? Thanks for your advice and words of wisdom!
It matches our cake… lol.

Though the first one may be a little different, I don’t see it as trendy. The Pnina is trendy…that fit is a huge trend in weddings right now. The first gown is unique and special, and isn’t that what every bride wants on her wedding day? It’s not the same predictable gown that you see over and over again, and I think that’s awesome!

I love the first dress, but both are beautiful. I’m normally not a huge fan of Pnina Tornai, but the one in the second picture is really pretty. But to me, that first dress is a show-stopper.
Personally, I don’t believe in too trendy for weddings. I know its easy to make fun of dated weddings, but I feel it gives the best insight as to who you were at that time.

I agree with Jaybird, I feel like the 2nd dress is more trendy than the first. I like the first much better, because the 2nd just looks like the dress that 65% of brides seem to be wearing right now.
But you should wear whatever you feel prettier in!

First of all….yeah for Kalamazoo! I totally agree with Jaybird12! The first dress has a classic shape with special details in the ruffles. I love it! How cool that your cake reflects the dress.
