I have to agree with @musician32992. Someone will always have something negative to say about your ring. I’m 24, my fiance is 26. He’s an RN, and saved for a few years to buy me a 2.01 CT solitaire. It’s beautiful and just what I wanted, but even a month away from our wedding, I still get the “Is it real??” question. Eventually you’ll learn to completely disregard those rude comments.
Enjoy that beautiful ring, girl!! It’s YOURS and it’s from the love of your life. That’s ALL that matters. 🙂

i love your ring! Just smile and tell people you love your ring, and ignore the rest of their comments/ questions.

I’d counter with positivity. “Oh, Fiance did such a great job, didn’t he?” “I just love it so much”
By The Way – I hope you aren’t listing the ring stats when you show to people… that could be instigating the comments in the first place. :/

@FutureMrsHEA: ignore them…your ring is gorgeous and age appropriate! It’s not like you guys are seniors in high school, just waiting to turn 18.

Age also doesn’t restrict the nasty comments you may get for a ring that is “too big” or “too extravagant.” I have a 1ct stone with a halo and FI’s parents and immediate family are still giving him crap about it and we’ve been engaged now for 2 months.
Oh and we’re both 25 and have been working good jobs for years. He’s been saving since the day we met, and I actually asked him not to get a bigger stone because I didn’t want to draw to much attention.

I got engaged at 20 with a Tiffany’s Legacy Engagement ring, 1.8 center stone and 0.5 surroundings.
I got a lot of rude comments.
Bursh them off, they’re just jealous
