It didn’t really need any!! Eeek! I ordered my dress in a size 10 and when it came in I was disappointed. It was very puffy, almost ball gown looking, and it wasn’t as flattering as the size 8 sample was on me. I kind of thought the 10 made me look bigger and the top was a little big.
I’m happy to say the last post I made freaking about about my dress, will be my last! I took it in today and it fits perfect!!!! The lady at the alterations place showed us where it should sit on my waist and how to properly do the back. It made all the difference in the world! She removed one of the under layers in under 5 minutes and didn’t even charge us for that. It totally fixed the poof problem. There was weird boning that started at the under arms and went down the sides like 6 inches past the belt causing the skirt pucker and poof too. It made me look wider. She trimmed it and it only charged us $8 to cap them so they don’t poke my sides. It looks exactly how I wanted it to now. I hope to lose more weight but with this dress I don’t think 10 lbs will be a deal breaker since it’s not formfitting. We are adding a bustle and it will be done in 2 weeks! I was so upset when it came in, thinking it would be hundreds and hundreds in alterations to get it right. All that stress for nothing. Thank you bees for getting me through the dress drama <3 I’m so excited I had to share 🙂 I officially LOVE my dress.
