@ViaMinorViator: im fairy certain it can be done. if you have a harry richies in the area i would take it in they can give you a free estimate as to what that would cost as well as what it would cost to get your current prongs redone. i know for mine to redo all the prongs on my 3 stone ring it would cost $185 and mine are all 4 prongs. he told me it usually takes about 2 days.

@PrettyInBlue: Maybe he should have gotten you a quality ring to begin with?

That was uncalled for. Wear and tear will cause prongs to get loose.

@PrettyInBlue: “Uncalled for”? I will tell you what is uncalled for. The moderating on these boards. Taking somone in…Making them feel welcomed…And then after MONTHS, they decide they want to block you. So with a click of a button …. block! …. you are made to feel like a piece of sh#T. THAT is what is uncalled for!!!!!!

I have absolutely no idea what on earth you’re talking about… or how it’s relevant to the “quality” of her ring (that she admits to banging around all over the place). I’m not sure her thread about prongs is the place to vent your frustrations at the moderating here.

OP, Sorry for contributing to an itty bitty derailment here. I don’t know anything about adding prongs, as I have a princess and I’ve never seen one in more than 4 prongs. In the first month or so of having mine, i wore it ALL the time (except to wash my hair and use cleaning chemicals), and had to get the prongs tightened because I was smacking that thing on everything. Dishwasher, clothes washer, countertops, tables. So I had to limit my wear time and work my way up when I learned to be more careful. Good luck!

@Mrs.Lonestar: Yikes. And now I know…

@ViaMinorViator: Yeah, let us know! It’ll help all the clumsy bees like us who can’t keep their prongs on right hahahaha. Tightening mine took like 5 minutes and was free.

@ViaMinorViator:  are you wanting to add prongs on all the stones or just the center one?

@ViaMinorViator: Honestly, I think that 6 may ruin the look it has going… Maybe find a pic of a 3 stone with 4-6-4 (or 6-6-6) prongs and see if you even like it? I figure 4 prongs on a round has got to be safe (or at least “safe enough”) or else nobody would make them anymore.
