@hecallsmelove: I’m not there yet, but this seems like a great post idea!  What are yours?

ETA: Ooops, realized belatedly that you aren’t there yet either 🙂

1) Seeing my husband have tears in his eyes as I walked into the ceremony room, as he is not the crying type!

2) My Dad’s speech at dinner, he’s not had a great couple of years, so it was great just to see him happy.

3) Completely unplanned by us, the band got everyone in a circle with me and the Mr dancing in the middle to the Beatles song “Hey Jude”, everyone had had a bit to drink, and was singing and swaying. It was so much fun! But I’m still so upset that noone filmed it 🙁

It’s hard to pick just three.  I know one was the vows, I already knew I’d love it but then my husband put away what he had written down and made his up on the spot and they were perfect.  Also, the toasts were wonderful because they were so much more wonderful than I expected.  The third one is a toss up.  I loved the first look because we had time by ourselves. I also loved the cake cutting though because he actually dropped some down my dress which led to what felt like a moment for just us even though we were in a room full of people.  So I kind of cheat and pick four. Smile

Oooh fun.

1. The whole first look experience. Wouldn’t trade that time for anything in the world – his face and reaction was priceless.

2. The last slow dance of the evening. It was so surreal knowing that the wedding was over, and we were both just so happy. I’ll never forget at the end he kissed me and said he’d never been as happy as he was at this moment in time and he loved me more than I’d ever know.

3. My 88 year old Grandma got in the photo booth with my sister! I didn’t know this until we saw the pictures the next day but it seriously just made my day that she got in there with a feather boa and big old heart shaped glasses and blew kisses at the camera because she knew I’d love it.

ETA: I wanna cheat and add one more. During the vows, I teared up which I NEVER DO. One of the groomsmen caught my eye and stuck his tongue out at me so I could keep myself together for the rest of the ceremony. Still makes me smile.

1. The whole darn ceremony. My brother was our officiant, and he and I wrote the ceremony. It was perfect, complete with sharks hovering behind our heads.

2. Dancing around with the kids before the dancing actually started. Our DJ was AMAZING, and the kids loved the music and wanted me to dance with them.

3. Our last dance– “A Really Cool Dance Song” by Bowling for Soup. It was just the two of us dancing, as it was fast and a bunny-hop kind of a song, and it was a blast.

1) Darling Husband tagged along with the girls for manis/pedis in the morning. The women at the spa fawned all over him, it was hilarious. It was also the most relaxation I got all day.

2) Walking down the aisle and seeing my Darling Husband crying.

3) My mom surprised us with a flashmob at the reception. Everyone got into it haha.

Bonus – While we were taking pics on the beach this little girl (maybe 7) kept staring at us. When were finishing up she and her mom walked over and she told me that I looked so beautiful and she just wanted to tell me that. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and used to stare at the bride whenever there was a wedding at the park near our house.

This was tough because I really enjoyed all of our wedding so much.

1. We took a golf cart out with our photographer after all the group pics. Darling Husband took a wrong turn and we went off roading for a while:)

2. My Dad’s speech. We aren’t close, he has lived 5+ hours away for most of my life and only saw him a few times a year. But the speech was so perfect and emotional.

3. Our first dance. I am not sure what we talked about, but I know we talked through the whole thing. It really was like we were in our only little world for a little bit.

I am cheating too…4. Dinner. We promised ourselves that we would sit and eat our meals. We had our head table with wedding party and their guest so there were people on both sides of the table. We had so much fun sitting there eating and talking. It was like a big family meal. And the cheesecake to top it off was so amazing.

@misspeanut: The same thing hapened during our vows, except it was Darling Husband who gave me a little smirk to tease and then I just laughed and made it through.

Ugg…hard to pick only three, but here goes:

1) While getting ready, we had a panic because my sister’s bridesmaids dress seemed to be defective. She couldn’t get it zipped, and when she finally squeezed herself into it, the bust was lopsided. We spent 15 minutes trying to decide what to do (the only other thing she had to wear on-site was sweatpants!), and then realized that she had the dress on sideways. Classic–and hilarous!

2) The moment right before I walked down the aisle. The pure excitement and anticipation that this was actually happening while holding onto my dad’s arm was the best feeling I’ve ever had. Even though we’d done a first look, I couldn’t wait to see my husband and actually be married!

3) After the ceremony, my husband and I spend 15 minutes alone, just the two of us. We did all of our pictures beforehand so that we could have this time together to take in what had just happened and the commitment we’d just made. After that 15 minutes, we joined the cocktail hour. That 15 minutes was so special–a once in a lifetime moment.

Bonus: One of my guests requested “Country Roads” by John Denver and impromptu, almost everyone at the wedding (all 100 people) linked arms and sang the whole song! The funniest part is that the DJ almost didn’t play it because we’d requested that he not play any country, but we gave him the OK on this one because it happens to be my dad’s favorite song (and strangely, the guest who requested it didn’t even know that)!

so many great moments! ill make it short and sweet.

1) I really loved putting on my dress and getting ready with my girls! i think that is the moment where i felt it all coming together. I felt beautiful and more ready than ever to get married.

2) We didn’t do a first look but my husband came to the bridal suite before the ceremony, I hid behind the door and got to hold his hand and tell him i love him and good luck out there. My photog caputred this moment, it was beautiful.

3) Dancing with my dad. I will remember that moment for as long as i live. He is an amazing person and i love him so much. I didn’t make it through that dance without tears. It was such a special moment for me.

1. Looking down the table at all of our guests talking, eating, drinking, and smiling, knowing that my wedding day vision had come true and that is was more beautiful (physically and emotionally) than I ever imagined it would be.

2. Teen LK’s speech. He made me laugh, he made me cry, and he made me the proudest Mom in the whole wide world. Typing this out just brought tears to my eyes once again.

3. When Mr. LK was repeating his vows and said “What? I’m sorry. Can you repeat that?” OMG we were all dying of laughter. It was just one of those moments where things clearly did not go as planned, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

4. The moment when I finally felt like a “bride”. My dress was on, my jewelry was on, my hair and make-up were perfect, and I felt more radiant and confident than I ever have in my entire life. It was such a joyous and powerful feeling.
