Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat the heck?!  That is worse than tacky!  That bride needs to look up the word “guest” in a dictionary.  You don’t host a party then recruit your “guests” as a clean-up crew.  Ewwwwwww!

How can anybody ask a guest to do that? That is not civilized. I would politely decline the wedding invitation immediately, stating why so she would know that isn’t acceptable.

EDIT: And if I already bought the wedding gift, I would keep it or go back to the registry and “take it back”.
