i dont know if ill be any help! free drinks is always a plus! but are you going to drink $900 in alcohol to make up for the difference? Also with cruises, having a nice room is great but really you wont be spending much time in the room – based on my experience – but then again its your honeymoon – so maybe you will be in the room alot ๐Ÿ˜‰

i’ve only ever been on carnival so i cant tell you which one is better -but my vote is norwegian – more for your money!

I’d go with the longer one.

Norwegian without question!!!! $3,100 is crazy to pay for a 5 day cruise. Darling Husband and I took a 7 day cruise in February and it cost us less than $2,000 total for an upgraded balcony room.

Tip: Darling Husband and I took our cruise on Princess. They let us bring on our own bottle of wine at each stop and let us bring it to our room and drink it during the cruise (no alcohol or beer, only wine). We would have to pay a corking fee if we had them serve it to us during dinner, but we had our room steward bring us wine glasses and we would drink it on the balcony and bring (really) full glasses to dinner so we wouldn’t have to pay anything. Saved us TONS of money! I’d ask about it on your cruise too!

I’d definitely go with the 7-night cruise. Who doesn’t want a longer honeymoon?

I voted for the Norwegian cruise (I completely agree with the way that you’re thinking about things).

Hands down, go with the longer cruise.  I would have cried if we had to leave our honeymoon on day 5, I wasn’t ready for it to end…By day 7, I had gotten my fill and was almost ready to go home. lol

The longer one hands down for me!  It’s still a nice suite, so I’d give up nice little soaps and the “open bar” (which you’re really paying for since its $900 more) for an extra two days of fun, relaxation, and fooood on my hm.

Definetly the longer one! 5 days goes so fast!

Definitely NCL because it is cheaper and longer. How many ports does each cruise visit? 5 days on a cruise is too short!!

Norwegian for sure!  I’ve done a LOT of cruises (man I miss living in Miami!) and my parents still do a Norwegian every year.   Concierge level perks are nice and all – but you won’t notice a difference enough to justify that extra cost.

Drinks can be pricey, but do your best to smuggle stuff in ๐Ÿ™‚  I’m a heavy drinker and I’d still do the Norwegian… since drinks in a room aren’t nearly as much fun as drinks out on deck or in the casino.

    ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck!

@UpstateCait:  I went on Norweigan & really enjoyed it A LOT.  It was a great price, and you can eat whenever you want, which I really enjoyed LOL.  You are at Bermuda for a couple days, and can enjoy yourself there too.  We smuggled some alcohol in so it was way cheaper for us, as well.  I say go for cheaper, and then you can spend more on the boat if you want to go shopping, or anything like that!!
