Hi guys I’m in need of some help!
After a lot of dress shopping I have managed to narrow my choices down to 3 dresses…problem is I love them all!
I’m getting married in Spring in an old medieval hall with beautiful gardens then we are moving to a modern art gallery for the evening do (contrasting vibes so again doesn’t help with picking the style!) All dresses are pretty much the same price which also doesn’t help!
DRESS 1 initially I fell in love with. It’s heavily beaded and feels like a beautiful vintage heirloom, my only hangup with the dress is there is virtually no structure, which makes it comfy but doesnt help my silhouette. it’s not very supportive of my bust and feel it might exaggerate my mid section, which is my problem area! But aesthetically the dress is beautiful and has the most hanger appeal.
DRESS 2 is a a lacy number. It has more structure than dress 1 for my bust and mid section but still is comfy. I love the shape it gives but is also easy to move in. My only issue is how shiny the material is underneath and that it might not photograph well. But love the style of lace and shape
DRESS 3 was the ‘wildcard’ which the shop assistant suggested I try. Had no hanger appeal as is completely plain but i loved it on. It’s the most ‘classic bride’ dress. Very structured and love the shape it gives but as it’s so structured could barely sit down in it! Sample size was 2 sizes too small so hopefully wont feel like this in my size. However the shop assistant did say it will still feel restrictive because of the shape and thicker mikado material. This is the dress i felt most bridal in but worried as I want to be able to enjoy the day and dance and eat!
Any feedback appreciated! Thanks xx

#2 look AUHMAZING on you. Makes your waist look tiny! Shininess of the material isn’t noticeable. It makes the lace stand out more!

Number 2 was the one that made me go WOW. #1. Is nice but I’ve seen this before I feel. #3 I feel is very formal. Classic almost. Which one speaks to your personality? Which one would your Fiance love?

thanks for the feedback! I am swaying more to the lacy one as I feel comfy in it! I love the plain one as it holds in my tummy but feel I will be restricted on the day and wont be able to sit/ eat! Other half would probably like dress 2 and 3 but he’s also as indecisive as me haha x

For me it’s a very tough decision between 2 and 3. I’m actually leaning towards 3 as I think it will work in a garden setting and at the art gallery. Not to mention it is super flattering. You have an awesome figure. If 2 is way more comfy though, you can’t really go wrong with either.

I vote #3 all the way. That dress is GORGEOUS.

#2 is gorgeous! It’s the one I’d pick.

#3 100%! I don’t care for #1 and I’ve seen about a million and one dress #2s in recent recaps. #3 is fresh, regal, and absolutely gorgeous on your figure.

2! I believe a good cut is more important than the details. Also, comfort=confidence=radiance. But you could also look for a different dress with the cut AND details you want, if you have the time and inclination.

Could you try dress #1 with a bustier or longline bra? We’re similarly shaped and I know exactly what you mean about comfy but not supportive. I think it might be worth it to see the dress with shapewear that also has good bust support.
I almost bought dress #3, then found this one by Alyne, Rita Vinieris. The style is ‘Classy’, lol. It’s in the same price range as the essence dress, has those shaping darts but more subtle, and the satin is soooo much smoother and luxurious. You can deff sit and dance in it, but the structure forced you to sit upright. Not completely a bad a thing!

I vote for #2. You look phenomenal in it and it suits your body extremely well, plus the lace is gorgeous. The fact that you feel like it’s comfortable and something you can move in is critical. There’s not point in wearing a dress you don’t think you can move around comfortably in. Also, shinier fabrics can photograph really well if the photographer knows what they’re doing, just be sure to be aware of wrinkles in it.

1 does not fit you or flatter your shape. I like dress 2 it’s really flattering on you and the lace is beautiful it doesn’t look shiny at all. Dress three also looks good on you. Does one of them feel more comfortable then the other? Do you not like something about one of them? Do you Like the material of one of them better? Do you wish one of the dresses had feathers from the other dress?

The third one is the stand out ot my eye. Just look what it does for your bustline! The others don’t do that. I think it is both classic and cutting edge all in one so it will compliment either venue. The dress sample is too small but in your correct size I think all your reservations will disappear . Those off the shoulder sleeves sort of balance out your hips giving you a slender but curvy look. The other dresses, though beautiful in their own right, do not do that. Plus that fabric looks amazing. Lovely sheen to it without it being shiny per se. Photographs beautifully.

I absolutely love #3 on you. It’s breath taking! Out of all of them it’s the one that made me say wow!!! But I understand your concerns as I just went through this! There were 2 dresses I couldn’t decide between. I loved the look and shape the satin gave me but my reservations were in the restriction of movement. But it was catching on my hips so once they were to let that out I’d have more movement. So that being said didn’t help the situation as it didn’t take it out of the running lol. The other dress was beautiful and stretchy and comfortable BUT had no structure which made me nervous in the tummy area. My decision came down to 3 things.. #1 The consultant asked me if I were to walk out without a dress that day and then come back and one was gone, which would I be sadist about no longer being able to have? #2 Comfort And #3 the biggest deciding factor of all for me was which one would take my fiancé by surprise. I wanted to really wow him and walk down the aisle in something that he’d love but also would not expect to see me in. If you like certain qualities about each dress but not each one ENTIRELY I would suggest to keep looking if you have time.
