U looked great in both! I’m bias n I personally have a thing for A-line and ball gowns so I think you look more bridal in the first one. The design in the second is great but seemed a bit off. Maybe it’s the fitting.

Based on what I read here and there, go with your heart and it’ll all fit. See which one you think about the first thing after a sleep. Maybe that might help.

The ballgown is absolutely stunning on you! The fit, the shape, the colour, the lace is all perfect and very complimentary to your body shape and skin tone.

The shape of the Rosa is quite nice but I really dont like the lace pattern or the tan colour lining underneath.  If this feels more you, maybe keep looking for something with a similar shape but different lace pattern.

At the end of the day you need to feel 100% comfortable with whatever you are wearing.

So, I initially voted for the ballgown, but once I read through your post more thoroughly, it does seem that the Rosa is better suited to you and your wedding. The ballgown is absolutely gorgeous, but it might not match the occasion. I don’t think you can go wrong either way 🙂 You could also keep looking for something in a slimmer, more casual sillhouette that has the touches of the ballgown. Finding a slim dress in white may give you that bridal feel with the less formal feel.

I know the Rosa may be better suited to your venue but the first dress is INCREDIBLE on you!

They A-lined dress is amazing on you. But both are wonderful. I would trust your gut. If the 2nd dress is more your personality then go for it. It definitely looks like a wedding dress.

You are absolutely gorgeous in that ballgown. It’s the one time in your life you can wear a dress like this whereas (without the train) you could wear the Rosa to many formal events. If you’re not completely comfortable with the ball gown perhaps something in the middle…

Is the Rosa available in a different color option, with a white or ivory lining? The overlay obviously wouldn’t be as prominent, but that option (If it exists) may give you the best of both worlds.

First dress is so striking and amazing. Whilst the other fits the first is spectacular.

I’m not a ball gown type person either but it is the one time in your life you get to wear something like that. Pick the dress you feel the most beautiful in and pick for yourself not any one else.

I personally don’t like the Rosa. I think there are much pretty options that would still be more casual and unique. I think the fact that you thought you should like it but are on the fence is very telling. I didn’t think I would fall completely in love with my dress until I actually tried the right one (or rather, *a* right one as I think there are several right dresses). It’s a “If you have to ask, the answer is ‘no’ kind of thing.”

Similar to you, I went into my first dress appointment thinking I knew exactly what I wanted – a ballgown, actually, lol. Then I tried on sheaths/A-lines and fell completely in love. Since I was confused, I didn’t buy anything that day and got some input from fiancée and others, who all thought the sheath looked amazing on me. Incidentally, none of the sheaths I tried that day were quite right for a bridal gown. I took time to think on that experience before my next appointment and went into that one knowing exactly what I was looking for and with confidence was able to buy a dress that met all my specs (Jenny Yoo Alessandra).

So my advice to you is to take this experience and reflect on it a bit before your next appointment, then take that experience to another shop where you might find something that fits all your criteria including having a wow factor.

Actually, if you’re looking for a straighter less-fuss silhouette with some unique details, I recommend the Jenny Yoo Alessandra. : ) It was super comfortable and instead of the classic lace (which can all look the same after a while) it has this beautiful antiqued ivory embroidery along the bodice and skirt. You might also look at dresses with patterned silver beading (not just random crystals) which looks ornate and more unique.

The ballgown is beautiful and has my preference but YOU love the Rosa. It is YOUR wedding and YOU are the bride. Get the Rosa 😊
