TBH they are both lovely, and fit your body well. But the ballgown is perfection on you, so I voted for that one.

the ballgown is lovely but its been done 1000 times. the rosa is WOW and so unique!! if you can spring for a ballgown overskirt for the ceremony on top of it, you’d get the best of both worlds.

Said the ballgown BUT if you love the Rosa and it sounds like you do, it would still be great!  I love it particularly in the picture with you holding the train!

Oh, also, BHLDN might have something for you. They have a lot of non-traditional dresses that also look super bridal. Might give you the differentiation you’re looking for.

I personally like the ball gown better, but that is my style of dress. It does look more “bridal” but if the other dress is  more your personality and you love it and it fits your venue definitely get it! The ballgown is winning in the poll but it’s your dress you should love it!  The Rosa looks great on you!

I’d say keep looking. The first dress looks amazing on you, but I’ve seen it a million times.

I love the ballgown! The Rosa dress is beautiful as well but it doesn’t look like a wedding dress. If you feel more comfortable with the Rosa you dress should get it 🙂

Well this is tricky. I am with your mum. The ballgown is BEAUTIFUL on you! That’s a really exceptional ballgown (designer?) and it seems to not only suit you perfectly but fit you perfectly too. I look at the pictures of you in it and think “no, you can’t top that!”. But will you feel happy in it if you are a nontradtional kind of person? Feeling happy in your dress is really, really important on your wedding day. Now I have to say, you look phenomenal in your other dress too and it’s a very good choice. I love that it is sort of distinctive. If it feels right then it is right. In your bridal ballgown you are fulfilling my bridal vision but it’s not about me, it’s about you. If I went to your wedding and saw you in the second dress I’d think you looked beautiful and I’d probably think how very “you” it was. Let your heart decide. Ignore the fact that most of want to look exactly like you look in that ballgown( it’s not about us)

    Holly23 :  I think you should keep looking. Here’s why…

Don’t get me wrong – the first dress looks amazing on you and is a beautiful dress. But having not expected to choose a ballgowm, you need to make sure you’re not just reacting to the impact that wearing a big dress can cause. I mean the atritude that certain looks are bridal and others aren’t are pretty ingrained in our society, so you might be just getting excited that now you’re a “bride” – when you were already a bride even when you were wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Also, as lucreziab above said – it sounds like you are trying to make yourself like the Rosa dress, which is not a good sign – but then again it is hard now for that dress to compete when in your head it can never feel like a “real bride’s” dress. (That  said, I voted for the Rosa because it’s more unique and looks great on you too and the train is gorgeous.)

I’m also strongly of the opinion that a wedding dress should represent the bride’s usual style and personality rather than make her look a completely different person. That doesn’t mean that nobody can wear ball gowns (because nobody wears ball gowns in their daily lives), but more like a ball gown is more likely to represent a bride’s style if the bride is a traditional person, or usually wears super feminine or traditional clothes, or is a girly girl, or a super loud personality that just has to make a big dress statement – know what I mean?

So for that reason, I think try and find a dress that feels like you/represents your style AND makes you feel amazing wearing it. There’s no reason a dress can’t do both.

I like them both and they’re so different! Go with your gut, if you can figure that out… when you see the ballgown winning in the poll do you feel relief or regret?

    Holly23 :

I personally prefer the ballgown and  think you  look lovely in it . And there is the “only ever one occasion to wear  something   like this”  idea too.
But I voted the Rosa becuse I think that is what you want .  It would look more bridal with an  ivory (not the present brownish  ) underlay perhaps ?

I think the Rosa is a pretty dress but doesn’t look bridal and isn’t as flattering on you (that being said, you still look beautiful, just not bridal). Seriously, you’re gorgeous and deserve a dress that highlights that! I went from having a “wow” moment with the first dress to going “meh” to the Rosa. If you aren’t sold on the first one, I’d just keep looking.

Holly23 :  Definitely the first one, the ball gown. It looks beautiful on you and the shape really suits you.
