I think weddings are the one time whether something looks nice on you or not takes a backseat to what you feel most comfortable and most bridal in.
So, while the ballgown looks stunning, I would go with the Rosa if I were you, simply because when I look back at my wedding, I don’t want to remember my dress as stunning but rather as a part of and representative of me, the fact that it looks beautiful is the icing. And the Rosa is beautiful in its own way….it’s a little vintage with a little modern.

Who cares what anyone else prefers!? Get the one that makes you happy. That’s absolutely all that matters.

How many appointments have you had? How quickly do you need to order? Hearing you speak, it sounds to me like neither of these is your dress. I think it is important that a dress reflects your style and personality. Perhaps if you looked a bit more you could find a dress that reflects your personality and the vibe of the day (like dress 2) but still has enough unique flare to give you some stopping power (like you liked about dress 1).
I’ve had two appointments so far and tried 3 dresses I really loved, but didn’t feel certain enough to choose so I’m going to shop around some more before I commit. Those 2 dresses are really far apart and it sounds to me like you need to keep looking until you narrow in.

maybe you need to look around more, and find a mermaid/sheath option that feels bridal to you!

Get the Rosa. My dress is not super bridal but I felt so beautiful in it when I tried it on. I also wondered whether I should have gone with something more tradional but I think I would have regretted going traditional over the dress I felt most beautiful and comfortable in.

You have a great figure for almost any dress and that is a compliment. I don’t know you but from whatyou say the second dress fits you and your venue. The key is how do you feel.
Now, this will sound contradictory – the first dress – quasi ball or whatever looked amazing on you. It was pretty, delicate, feminine and elegant. I agree it ight not be the best for your venue but what the heck it is your day – I see so many incongruent outfits for their venues – heck it is the bride’s choice:)
I do not like the rose or lace of the second dress and maybe it is not fitted to you but it does not do your body justice. i think I have seen that dress before and I am just not fond of it – the lace or laser cut flowers for whatever reason don’t appeal to me. iF that is the look you are aiming for go out and find another dress. There has to be something.

It sounds like you want to go with the Rosa! Personally I feel like I’ve seen the first over and over but the Rosa is more unique, if that’s something you’re going for. Maybe you need to keep looking for something similar to the rosa if you still have reservations about it.
I have been struggling with this same thing, everyone (read: especially mom) seems to love the ballgowny A lines on me, and I agree they look great and feel pretty and fun, but at the end of the day they’re not my thing. I caved to this with my grad dress and now looking back, I regret it a bit that I didn’t stay more in line with my own taste, everyone I know now can’t believe the dress I wore!
Choose whichever feels like you

I feel like with the Rosa you could wear it in any color as an evening dress, not a wedding GOWN. You look phenomenal in the ballgown!
