I’m a traditionalist so I voted diamond but I guess it really comes down to what you would like your ring to look like. If more coverage is what you prefer then go for the mossy. If you’re not fussed either way then my personal preference would be the diamond. =)

    go with your gut girl.

we had a ring picked out, for in upwards of $5,000. it made me uneasy, but he said I could have what i liked. i am thankful i found the bee, because once i saw a moissanite, and got exactly what i wanted (even a little more :o!) for a fraction of the cost. that was a no brainer to me.

i adore my ring and i know i made the right choice for me. do your research, weigh your options. 🙂

Caroline88:  I’m a diamond girl too. Unless you like the LOOK of moissanite. That diamond is also not “low” quality. I also don’t like man made gems as a forever jewelry, orsomething that I would want to pass down to my future family. That’s just me though. Moissanite stones are pretty though.

I wouldn’t classify that as a low grade diamond. If you are looking at a round brilliant, an H or I color should look pretty white, and a clarity grade of VS1 or 2 means that any inclusions should not be visible to the naked eye. What is the grading on the cut?

Also, moissanite looks different from a diamond. If you want something that looks like a diamond and sparkles like a diamond, I would go with the diamond.

Take a look at diamonds and moissanites in real life, and maybe it will help you with making a choice.

    I would prefer diamond.

That is NOT a low grade diamond, unless the cut is, but you didn’t mention cut.

The diamond. Those are decent specs, I was expecting you to say J+ colour and I clarity

I don’t think it was an offence thing, more of a, that’s still a good diamond! 🙂 What cut are we talking?

If you want a diamond but would prefer larger than .6, if you like the halo style you could look at that. Give you the appearance of a larger stone but for a cheaper cost than going up to 1ct.
