Hi everyone! This is my first time posting, though ive been following the ring boards for inspiration for a while.
My fiance and I had been looking at rings, and I had a set picked out, but our budget is tight, and we didn’t get it. So I began a search for something more affordable (cz and silver) and found one I loved. Now he said if I wait we can get the original. Thats great, but now I think I may like the cz better!
The original is diamonds and lab sapphires, 1/3 ctw and and the new is a 3/4 tw equivalent halo with a half carat center

Ok, second won’t upload, but it is Tigergemstones on etsy 3/4 halo, I’ll try to get a link up later

Alatariel: I’m guessing by your brief description that it might be this ring from TigerGemstones?
I love all the rings that you’ve described so far! Just curious, have you also looked into other alternatives such as white sapphires, moissanite, amora gem, or Asha diamonds (diamond coated CZ)? Most CZs don’t last more than a few years, so I just wanted to throw other affordable options out there that may pique your interest. I’m a big fan of exhausting all possible options before deciding.
Out of what you’ve posted, I think I like the TigerGemstones set the most (if this is the set you’re talking about).

Alatariel: Is the second one this one? If so, I personally like the first one.

Alatariel: If it’s the one peacock posted I like that one better. I don’t care for the yellow lol

playdohpants: I prefer the white as well! Maybe it’s the gold plating that makes it look so…yellow.

I prefer the Tigergemstones one, if it’s the ones posted by PP. I’m not sure what size your fingers are, but I found that thicker bands made me feel like my fingers were really short and stumpy.

@peacock0320 Yes! Thats the one! @playdohpants yeah, not really excited about that yellow gold, its just too much. I have thought of other simulants and such but I don’t mind replacing it in a couple years if need be, they do have one with a sapphire center in the same style on tigergemstones, but I don’t know if I like how visible the prongs are on the darker stone? I will say I haven’t found anything in white sapphire I like as much

I love the Etsy one! If feasible you can always upgrade for an anniversary or something!

And wow, Thank you for all the opinions! The etsy one is what I’m leaning toward
.Just nervous cause I haven’t tried it in person. It’s about 130, which though its a bit pricey for silver, might be worth it b/c I haven’t found anything in stores I like as much. But then again, I’ve seen cz sets in stores go for 80, so maybe it’s not so much? Ahhh, I’m rambling. . .sorry :p

I really like the etsy one but the fact that it’s cz and silver turns me off. I’d wait until you have the money saved and get a ring like that in gold and diamonds/moissanite. The cz and silver will not look nice after being worn daily.

I’d also wait and get a moissy ring. Or if I had to choose now, I like the tigergemstones one. 🙂

I’d be waiting and get whites gold and a better stone. I wear silver rings everyday, I’ve had one for 5 years that get tarnished easily and is covered on small scratches. Nowhere near as nice as while gold. I still love my other rings but I wouldn’t want my engagement ring to be like that.

Alatariel: Glad I was able to post it for you! If you don’t mind having to replace the set after awhile, maybe you’d like the sets on here: http://www.berricle.com/jewelry-rings/wedding-rings-set.htm
You can also look at just their engagement rings for now. They’re extremely budget-friendly and are some of the best CZs I’ve had/seen. My berricle ring has responded incredibly well to baking it in the oven to give it more diamond-like depth. I use mine as a stand-in for when I do work or travel and don’t want to wear my diamond pre-engagement ring (FI wants to present me with my moissanite ring “officially”).
How tight is your budget exactly? If you can give me a range and what some of your interests are, I can point you in a ton of different directions so you can have a lot of options. You know, the more the merrier 🙂

Peacock does an awesome job looking around for you, I’d take her up on her offer. I was going to suggest Berricle too, but she beat me to it! Berricle is having a great sale til the end of October=30% off . They have great czs.
