I’ll always vote to go for the dream, if it’s within your means.

The Ballroom is quite lovely and I was enchanted by it… until I saw the Tudor. Dear lord, I was drooling. DROOLING. The light and space are fantastic and I can see why you’d want to go with it. I would say it comes down to your priorities… does your Fiance care which you pick, as far as cost goes? If not, then I would run some numbers on what it would cost to pay for all the things you wouldn’t be getting for free, and go from there.

If you still can’t decide, ask yourself if you would look back and regret not having it at the Tudor? Because seriously. Damn. That place is beautiful.

This is your wedding, don’t worry about anyone but yourself. The Tudor is your dream venue and hardly more expensive so go for it! I will say having the reception im the hotel is AH-MAZING. It makes things so much easier on your guests and yourself!

I think you should run numbers on chairs and dj and lighting if those are the only 3 things you have to pay additional for. The Tudor to me doesn’t need lighting at all, and that can get really expensive but if it’s something you are adamant about you should figure it into your budget. I guarantee you those chandeliers are on dimmers and throw in some candles and you are set. The other place looks very basement like without the lighting in the second images (there’s no windows?). Chivari chairs can be a bit pricey as can Djs but maybe shop around and see what the best deal you can find is, that might convince you to go with the dream venue instead since they are so close in price. I also love that it’s the hotel you’re staying at, so easy for everyone. Honestly if the prices are that close and it’s just about some extras I would see if there’s anywhere else you are willing to save on your budget to make the totals the same overall (flowers, your dress, food/alcohol, skip favors etc). though venue is a big part of budget its not all the budget so if prices aren’t that far off you can adjust other places if you are willing. Also you will have to pay less in transportation bc you will already be there! So that might help. To me venue is the single most important decision you make for yourself and your guests besides food lol. Good luck!

honeylamb:  Awwww, the coordinator for the Ballroom sounds lovely. It is good to have someone in your corner on your wedding day. I can see why you would be influenced if you felt like she would be so helpful to you on your big day, and her attitude is encouraging. It reflects well on the venue, that they have someone so enthusiastic and personable, who appears to believe in the quality of what she’s selling. I don’t think it is silly at all.

Though if you go with the ballroom, definitely request that she is your day-of coordinator… I don’t know if these kind of places have more than one!

Both are great choices to me.  For me personally, I’d pick the one that would leave me with the most money in my pocket for my married life.

Gsxr06:  Thanks! It is my dream venue and I was so happy that I went for it (even though I still have a hard time processing the amount of money we are spending on one day!)
